After crossing 1.9 kilometers underground, the first shield machine of Qingdao subway started smoothly after the festival.


On February 21, the branch line of Metro Line 8 ushered in new progress, and the "Jiaozhou Bay No. 10" shield machine started smoothly on the right line of the sea temperature interval (Haier Avenue Station-Wenzhou Road Station interval). This is the first shield machine under construction in Qingdao subway line after the festival.


"Jiaozhou Bay No. 10" is the 10th shield machine originating from the Qingdao Metro Line 8 branch line, with a total length of about 85 meters. The shield machine will cross the Jiaohuang Railway, Yunxi River, Quanzhou Road Yunxi River Bridge and other major risk sources. It will drive slightly north-east to Haier Avenue Station, completing an "underground journey" of about 1.9 kilometers, which is also the longest section of Metro Line 8 branch line passing through the main urban area of Jiaozhou.

The Third Construction Branch led all participants to organize an expert team to fully demonstrate and study the selection and finalization of shield machines in the equipment selection stage, combined with factors such as interval geology and construction risks. In the equipment manufacturing stage, a shield construction supervision team was set up to supervise the whole process of the factory, strictly controlling the factory and the starting acceptance. In the equipment approach assembly stage, the shield starting work list management, the establishment of the right line shield operation team, the responsibility to individual, successfully realized the shield starting target.
